Dr Lam Pin Min, Minister of State for Health, graced the event. Like Orbis, Dr Lam is involved in both the opthalmic and aviation industries. Dr Lam is a trained ophthalmologist and served as a Medical Officer in the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
Many guests gamely ate their first course blindfolded and experienced firsthand what is like to be blind. Without vision, even something as simple as having a meal becomes a challenge.
The Orbis Singapore Board of Directors, Staff and Volunteer Faculty sincerely thank all guests who joined us at the charity gala. The funds raised at the gala will go a long way to support Orbis’s blindness prevention programs in Asia and around the world.
