Eye Seymour Hope ("I See More Hope") Art Competition
Orbis is a global charity dedicated to saving sight since 1982.
Our cuddly mascot, Seymour (pronounced “See More”), has brought cheer and comfort to children from Ethiopia to Vietnam to Peru who have had life-changing eye surgery aboard our Flying Eye Hospital.

Bringing Seymour to Life Through Art
Orbis Singapore invites you to bring Seymour to life through the EYE SEYMOUR HOPE ("I See More Hope") Art Competition.
See the world through Seymour’s eyes! What activity do you think Seymour would do and the encouraging words he would say to lift our spirits during this tough time?
Showcase Seymour as the star of your artwork and show us how Seymour continues to do his job so well by inspiring hope in all of us. We would love to see the world through Seymour’s eyes – through you.
Competition Rules
No age requirement; the competition is open to all in Singapore.
Medium: Artwork can be digital, painted (oil or water-colour), drawn and coloured (colour pencils, gel pens, markers, brush pens etc) as well as handmade (using materials such as cotton wool, glitter etc).
The entry process:
- Step 1: Take a photograph of the completed artwork.
- Step 2: Post the photograph on your Instagram account by 6:00PM on Sunday 10th May 2020. If you are using digital art, upload the file image.
- Step 3: Artwork must be accompanied by the following hashtags: #Orbisingapore #eyeseymourhope #iloveyoubearymuch
- Step 4: Account must be open to the public and remember to follow us on Instagram and like us on Facebook! @orbisingapore
If you are below the minimum age of 13 to open an Instagram account, post your competition entry on a registered Instagram account belonging to your parent, guardian or older sibling. Remember Step 4!
Competition Dates
All entries are to be posted on Instagram by 6:00PM on Sunday 10th May 2020
Results of the top 3 winners will be announced on Instagram and Facebook on 11th May 2020.
Judging Criteria
Top three winning entries will be selected based on:
- The closest depiction of Seymour in terms of personality and look
- The most encouraging, uplifting message from Seymour
- Originality and appeal
Prizes
Top three winners will each walk away with a goody bag of exclusive Orbis collectibles.
