An evening of celebration for Orbis Flying Eye Hospital's ASEAN Odyssey

On 8 February 2018, a warm community of supporters from the aviation, legal, finance and real estate sectors came together to celebrate Orbis's work in Southeast Asia and support the cause of avoidable blindness.

The evening of networking, delectable dinner and performances brought together a warm community of supporters from the aviation, legal, finance and real estate sectors, which contributed to the success of the event.

The event was graced by Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore's Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Mr Alex Hungate, President & CEO of SATS Ltd, addressed the audience as the Title Sponsor of the night. Orbis is heartened by SATS's commitment and partnership to save sight worldwide.

Guests were treated to a series of heartwarming performances, starting with the student choir from Lighthouse School. The students are visually impaired but sang with such beautiful voices that touched the hearts of the guests.

An auction was also held during the dinner, where 11 guests walked away with 13 items.

JR Asia, Orbis's supporter, generously provided wine as gifts to donors. Donors who donated SGD300, SGD400 and SGD500 got a bottle of wine or champange.
