Give Sight to Vietnam's Children

Children with poor vision perform worse in school because they can’t see the blackboard or their textbooks. They are also often left out in play activities. We hope to give children in Vietnam a brighter future through education and improved confidence.

The money raised from this campaign will go towards our project in Vietnam. In Vietnam, eye conditions such as strabismus (misaligned eyes) and ptosis (droopy eyelids) are not covered under health insurance and many children do not get the treatment that they need.

We will train doctors and nurses to diagnose and treat eye conditions and community health workers and teachers to screen for eye conditions. This sustainable model will ensure that the hospitals and partners that we work with can continue their work after the program ends.

We also plan to build new paediatric eye care centres and referral & outreach networks to reach children in need.  This includes buying equipment, conducting community screening and subsidising surgeries. This will identify and treat children with eye conditions before they lose their eyesight permanently.

Please help us give children in Vietnam a brighter future.

For less than USD1 a day, your gift can educate medical teams on the severity and prevalence of ROP. You can give babies clear sight and a chance to grow up seeing their parents’ faces. A life where they can go to school to learn and play with their friends. You can give children a chance to participate in a vibrant community, and ultimately, a brighter future.
