Reporting to the Director of Development, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the special events and school segment strategies with the goal of expanding Orbis’s donor base in Singapore.

REPORTS TO: Director of Development

SUPERVISES: Corporate and individual volunteers, external vendors

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and implement approved Orbis-branded special events to expand Orbis corporate partnerships in Singapore, including planning, logistics arrangement, liaison with vendors; and handling special event donor transactions and maintaining good donor stewardship.
  • Expand and manage Orbis’s involvement in relevant conferences and events to increase Orbis’s profile in the aviation, medical, technology industries and more.
  • Lead the development of prospects and proposals for talks, Orbis Blindfold Lunch and other corporate social activities with fundraising potential to schools and organisations.
  • Identify opportunities and work with the team to develop corporate supporters, major donors and individual donors coming through event sign ups.
  • Provide general administrative support to the office.
  • Assist in production of marketing collaterals.
  • Work with the team to maximize use of donor database and ensure that all records are up to date and ensure compliance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act.
  • Research for market information and keep abreast of non-profit fundraising practices. Assist the team in their respective segments

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • University graduate or above, preferably in marketing, business administration or related disciplines.
  • At least 1 – 3 years of hands-on experience in business development, marketing and/or events management.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Good attitude, ambitious, responsible, independent, able to lead projects and make decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Meticulous, capable of budgeting for events and accurate in numbers.
  • Open-minded, creative and willing to work under pressure.
  • Good team player and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills. Enthusiastic and keen to develop a career with an international non-profit organization.
