JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Development, the incumbent will assist the Director and Development Executive in implementing Special Events and other approved corporate donor segment strategies with the goal of expanding Orbis’s supporter and donor base across various business sectors in Singapore.

The intern will have the opportunity to liaise with key stakeholders in diverse industries and explore areas of partnership in Singapore outside of the event.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in planning our events. This will include event planning, logistics, corporate marketing, sales, registration, social media and donor management.
  • Research corporate giving ideas and assist in implementing approved corporate campaigns.
  • Handle donor management system and work with the team to maximise the use of the database. Ensure that all records are up to date and comply with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act.
  • Assist in approved corporate marketing campaigns, other fundraising events and participate in other Orbis activities such as school Blindfold Lunches as requested.
  • Provide general administrative support to the office.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Business Administration, marketing and communications students preferred; other majors may also apply
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Proven experience in event management is an advantage

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative, possess interpersonal skills, customer-oriented, well-organised and attentive to details
  • Open-minded, adaptable, open to change, willing to work within tight timelines
  • Skills in web-based and design programs as well as photoshop and InDesign will be advantageous.
  • Passion to do good and motivated to work towards achieving impact for the organisation
